Item of the Day: Norma Kamali One-Shoulder Dot Maillot

I realize it is a little early to be thinking about swimsuits, but it was 65 degrees today in New York so maybe the nice weather is confusing me. I always hate spending a ton of cash on a new suit come spring so I usually buy mine in the off season when they are on sale. I happened to come across this cute maillot suit the other day when looking at the Norma Kamali line on walmart.com. It is not on sale, but it's $20 price tag is cheaper than most sale suits I find. I love the polka dots, the red and black colors and the modern one shoulder style. Now, the hard part is just waiting the six months before I can wear it.

Item of the Day: Stella McCartney's GAP (Product) Red T

Yesterday was World AIDS Day, and GAP decided to do their part by unveiling their new (PRODUCT) Red tees where half of their profits go directly to the global fund to fight AIDS. My favorite of the new designs is Stella McCartney's white V-neck tee with red necklaces printed on the front ($28, gap.com). The great thing about this shirt is it gives back, and it doesn't scream charity.

Item of the Day: Forever 21's Striped Double Knit Skirt

For the past year, I have been eyeing Free People's Striped Seamless Tube ($28, freepeople.com). On their website, they styled it as a top, a dress, a skirt, a skirt under another skirt, etc. At $28 and all those possibilities, I should have been sold, but for some reason I never committed. So, much to my delight, while perusing the sites last week gearing up for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I found a similar look from Forever 21. Their Striped Double Knit Skirt goes for the bargain price of $8.50 and comes in 4 great color combinations...or atleast 3 great color combinations. I rushed to purchase the black and white, blue and black, and navy and red skirts. I left the grey and pale blue one. I am looking forward to all of the options that await me. I'll let you know how it goes.
